OUR STORY
Not every journey changes your life. Mine started with a cup of tea.
A few years ago, Mia and I spent several months travelling across Asia. Wherever we went, we noticed something special: tea wasn't just a drink. It was a way for people to slow down, connect and share moments together.
During those travels, we discovered matcha and the craftsmanship behind Japanese tea. The more we learned, the more we fell in love with it.
When we returned to London, we wanted to bring a little of that experience home. Not just exceptional tea, but the simple ritual of taking a moment for yourself in a busy day.
That's how HAKI began.

WHERE OUR TEA IS GROWN
At Haki, we spent a long time tasting and testing matcha from across Japan before finding the one we truly believed in.
That journey led us to Wazuka in Kyoto, Japan — a region known for producing some of the highest-quality tea in the country. Our matcha is made from first flush leaves, harvested in early spring at their peak, when flavour is at its most delicate, sweet, and rich in umami.
Wazuka, in Kyoto, offers the perfect growing conditions — clean air, rich soil, and generations of careful tea cultivation.
