Haki tea awarded Great Taste 2026 for the ceremonial grade matcha!

We are absolutely delighted to announce that our Ceremonial Grade Matcha has been awarded 1-Star at this year's Great Taste Awards. For those who don't know the awards, every product is tasted completely blind by a panel of chefs, cooks, and food writers, so this recognition comes down entirely to what's in the cup — nothing else.

This is a huge moment for us at Haki Tea, and one we're incredibly proud of. Matcha is unforgiving to get right, and every batch we produce carries the weight of that standard, so having it judged and rewarded on its own merits means more to us than we can easily put into words.

Here's a piece of what the judges had to say about our powder:

"This finely ground powder has a rich green colour and a smooth texture that was appreciated by the judges, as was the attractive deep hue in the drink. One judge found a seaweed note……."
