Where is your matcha from?
Our matcha is imported from a small farm in Wazuka, Kyoto, Japan. In fact, all three powdered teas from the 3x tin bundle are teas grown in Kyoto, Wazuka.
Why is Haki Tea premium priced?
All our teas are hand grown and hand harvested. With premium teas such as our ceremonial grade matcha, much of the processing and tea leaf selection is done manually. This makes the end product more costly, as collecting, growing, and processing the leaves is highly labour intensive.
How about the hojicha and genmaicha?
Our hojicha and genmaicha are among the best tea powder versions available on the market. Our hojicha is a dark roast hojicha, making it ideal for lattes and sweet drinks, while our genmaicha is nutty with a naturally sweet taste — perfect for more adventurous tea lovers.
