Let’s Make It:
Prepare the following:
2- 4 grams matcha ( we recommend 4 grams, whoever says 1 gr matcha = 1 portion is very wrong , and most probably not your friend )
50-70 ml of hot water to mix the matcha
200 ml cold milk
8 gr poppy seeds or a big tea spoon
60 ml double cream
15 ml of maple syrup or honey
Pro tip** add ice before adding the cream on top so that he cream does not fall to the bottom of the glass
Whisk the matcha
Mix in 2-4 grams of matcha with 50 to 70 ml of hot 80 degrees celsius water. Do not fall for the trap and whisk your matcha very little. Put in the extra work and whisk it for about 90 seconds or 2 minutes to get the best results.
Mix in the poppy seeds, maple syrup and milk
In a separate bowl mix in 60 ml of double cream ( do not use whipping cream as it will be too liquid, single cream will not work as well ), with your poppy sees and 10 to 15 ml of maple syrup depending on how sweet you like your mix. Than use a milk frother to mix in the ingredients ( better a nutribullet or any food processor ).
Add the ice, milk and matcha
It is now time to assemble our little marvel. In a separate glass add ice cubes, milk and pour the matcha on top. For extra great results, mix in the matcha again before adding it so that it is creamier. Once all is done add the poppy seeds cream on top.
Assemble and Enjoy
As mentioned add the poppy seeds cream on top and enjoy. We recommend eating the cream by one spoon at a time and sipping in matcha every spoon instead of mixing it with the drink, otherwise it will loose its taste / blend in with the matcha.

First Harvest Blend is a light, smooth matcha with a crisp umami start and calm green taste that feels almost like spring. It is light yet umami rich and sweet at the beginning with an astringent finish leaving a gentle and soothing after taste of umami.
