Let’s Make It:

Prepare the following:

  • 🍑 2 ripe plums (cut into small cubes)

  • 🍯 10 grams of sugar

  • 🍵 3–4 grams of ceremonial grade matcha

  • 💧 60–70 ml hot water (around 80°C – not boiling)

  • 🥛 150–200 ml milk (any kind — oat, almond, dairy)

  • 🧊 Ice cubes (optional)

Steps to follow

Step 1: Cook the plums

Start with the plums — chop them into small cubes and pop them into a pan with about 10 grams of sugar.
Let them cook on medium heat for 5–7 minutes, giving them an occasional stir.

They’ll slowly soften, turn glossy, and become this jammy, deep-purple compote that smells unreal.
Once it’s ready, set it aside to cool while you move on to the matcha.

Step 2: Whisk the matcha

Sift 3–4 grams of ceremonial matcha into your bowl so it’s perfectly smooth — no lumps, no drama.
Pour in 60–70 ml of hot water (around 80°C) and whisk for 1–2 minutes until it turns frothy, creamy, and that vibrant matcha green we all love.

Step 3: Assemble the drink

Grab your favourite glass and spoon in the cooled plum jam — this is your fruity base and trust me, it makes the whole drink pop.

Add a handful of ice cubes (optional, but highly recommended for the aesthetic and the flavour).
Pour in 150–200 ml of milk, then gently finish with your freshly whisked matcha on top.

Give it a soft swirl, watch the green and purple ribbons dance together, and take your first sip.

You’ve just made a Matcha Plum Latte — creamy, tangy, refreshing, and honestly too drinkable. 🍵💜✨
