- 2 · Ripe plums (cut into small cubes)
- 10 g · Sugar
- 3–4 g · Ceremonial grade matcha
- 60–70 ml · Hot water (around 80°C)
- 150–200 ml · Milk (any type you like)
- Ice cubes · Optional, for extra chill
- 1. Cook the plums · Cut two ripe plums into small cubes and toss them into a frying pan with 10 g of sugar. Cook for 5–7 minutes until they turn soft and jammy. Set aside to cool.
- 2. Prepare the matcha · Sift 3–4 g of ceremonial grade matcha into a bowl. Add 60–70 ml of hot water (around 80°C) and whisk for about 2 minutes until smooth and frothy.
- 3. Build your drink · Spoon the cooled plum jam into a glass — this is your fruity base.
- 4. Add the chill · Drop in a few ice cubes if you’d like it cold.
- 5. Pour the milk · Add 150–200 ml of your favourite milk over the plum base.
- 6. Top with matcha · Gently pour the whisked matcha on top to create those dreamy green-and-purple layers.
- 7. Mix & enjoy · Stir, sip, and smile — your Matcha Plum Latte is ready. 🍵💜✨

💧 60–70 ml hot water (around 80°C – not boiling)
🥛 150–200 ml milk (any kind — oat, almond, dairy)
🧊 Ice cubes (optional)
Steps to follow
Start with the plums. Chop them into small cubes and toss them into a frying pan with 10 grams of sugar. Cook on medium heat for about 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally. You’ll know it’s ready when it turns jammy and glossy — like a sweet little plum compote.
Once it’s done, let it cool down while you prep your matcha.
Sift 3–4 grams of ceremonial matcha into your bowl (no clumps allowed). Add 60–70 ml of hot water (around 80°C) and whisk like you mean it for about 1–2 minutes, until smooth, frothy, and gloriously green.
Now, time to assemble. Grab your glass and spoon in the cooled plum jam — that’s your fruity base. Add a handful of ice cubes (optional, but trust me, it looks and tastes better). Pour in 150–200 ml of milk, then gently top it off with your freshly whisked matcha.
